Here’s an At-a-Glance Overview of our custom milling, kiln-drying, and millwork services and pricing.

Milling at the Sawmill (You bring logs to us; under 36” dia)

  • Milling– $155/hr 

  • Blades– $25/per blade used; $35/blade damaged

  • Four-hour minimum; time is calculated in half-hour increments

Extra Large Lucas Mill (36” - 72” Diameter)

  • Milling– $250/hr

  • Blades– $100 per blade used; $150/blade damaged

  • Loading/Unloading oversized logs– $155/hr

  • Three-hour minimum if slabbing; Two-hour min if breaking down for dimensional/processing on LT-50

  • $500 deposit per log upon delivery (before milling)

Kiln-Drying

  • Kiln Drying– $1/bf; 400 bf min; uniform thicknesses only

  • <25% moisture content in hardwoods at start; softwoods can be green or dry

  • 0-10 days included in $1/bf flat fee; $0.14/bf/day afterwards

  • We only kiln-dry lumber that we mill (from your logs or our logs)

Finishing/Millwork (for lumber you buy from us, or your lumber that we mill)

  • Planing– $0.65/linear foot; 18” wide max; see millwork page for details

  • Edging– $0.65/linear foot; 18” wide max; ≤ 8/4 thickness; price is per pass; see millwork page for details

  • Shaping (Shiplap/T&G)-- $0.65/linear foot; 18” wide 12’ long max; ≤ 5/4 thickness; see millwork page for details

  • Trimming— $1.50/per cut; no width max; ≤ 8/4 thickness 

  • $1.00/board handling and $50 setup; $400 minimum. Hardwood, thickness, and width adjustments apply. See millwork page for details

Non-Standard Millwork

  • Millwork rate for custom projects (where aforementioned rates don’t apply)— $155/hr; 4-hour minimum

Add-Ons

  • Stickers: $0.75/each; kiln-dried 1x1x3

  • Track Loader Work – $155/hr; Chainsaw Work– $155/hr 

  • Stickering and Stacking (two workers): $155/hr

  • Lumber storage/air-drying: first week free; $12.50 per week per pallet

  • Delivery: Available within 25 miles from sawmill; $300 per load under 2000 lbs; first 30 min free then $155/hr; $600 per load (2-10k lbs); first 30 min free then $155/hr. Loads over 10,000 lbs or over 25 miles from sawmill will be quoted.
